Trails and Grounds
The Main Entrance (High Street) gates that access the Sanctuary Grounds and trails automatically open at 9 am and close promptly at 5 pm daily. Once closed, these gates DO NOT open until the next day.
Birdsacre’s trails also can be accessed from the South Trails Entrance off Deerfield Road from sunrise to sunset.
The Sanctuary Grounds - the Birds’ Part of the Sanctuary - open from 9 am to 5 pm, are designated as a quiet area and dog-free zone for the comfort of our Avian Ambassadors. This is home for our Ambassadors and they appreciate your consideration. Thank you for respecting the needs of the birds and allowing them quiet time after hours.
Dogs are welcome on all our 6+ miles of trails except in the Sanctuary Grounds, as marked around the enclosures.

Ambassador Tours
Beginning Wednesday, June 17th, learn about many of our resident birds by attending a 45-minute guided tour on Tuesdays through Fridays at 11 am. Meet at the Registration Building.
Nature Discovery Center and Store
The Nature Discovery Center and store are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm.
Cordelia Stanwood Homestead and Museum
Tours of the Stanwood Homestead will begin mid-June on select days. Check out the Birdsacre Calendar and look for the tour sign near the Registration Building.
